These are frequently asked questions, aimed at people who are interested in buying the book when it's finished. For questions specific to writers/artists, please visit the 'submission faq'.
When's it coming out?
There is no deadline on this project. The authors are working on stories right now, and the submissions are flying in. I haven't set a deadline because I want to collect the very best work and make a truly unique and special book. You can sign up for updates by visiting the 'subscribe for updates' page. Once the book is published you will be informed. In the meantime you will be contacted periodically by email with progress on the project and have the chance to read excerpts from the book. You'll even get to be one of the first to order it!
How much will it cost?
There's no price for this yet. The format, style, size etc are still being defined and there's no telling how many stories will be in the final publication. I am working on an assumption of £10-£20 though.
What sort of stories will it contain?
It will contain what is generaly described as 'Dark Fiction'. The horror genre is broad, containing such sub-genres as Occult, Zombie, Ghosts/Paranormal, Thiller etc. We will be choosing stories from a mix of genres to create an eclectic anthology.
Will it contain offensive language or sexual references?
There is likely to be some mild expletives and some sexual references. This book isn't for Little Jonny or Auntie Mable - but we will ensure that the content is within tasteful limits which are in-line with the genre.
Where will it be available, how can I buy it?
At this time we are acting as publisher and distributor for the project. That is to say no external publisher is involved. We will collect the names of people who are interested in buying the book during its development then, once it is read to print, we will start taking pre-orders. Once we have enough pre-orders to cover the publication we will start taking money. Once the money is in, we will send it to print and distribute as soon as it is printed.
However, as the project progresses we will consider contactinhg publishing houses to either gain funding for the project and its publication, or to hand over the publication and distribution to them. This will obivously help us achieve a far higher print run and reach far more readers - so hold thar thought.
